I was planning on getting the Zalman Reserator XT, and i have heard a few people having problems with the pump and was wondering would it be smart to put one of my unused mcp355 inside the case to help return the fluid back to the reserator. Or would this create problems with pressure inside the loop?

I dont like the design of that, and i dont want anything screwed to the back of my case, i have the v2 of the first reserator, and i loved it and it performed really well considering what the heck it is.

funny thing is i just said in another thread i laugh at the people who spend over 400 bux on one of those things lol.

they are a total waste of money, i saw a review on overclockersonline and it only cooled 5 degrees better than the stock cooler on a AMD 3700+... and only 3 degrees better than the thermalright sl-128, so for a quad core its gonna be terrible.

I have to agree they are not absolutely amazing at cooling, and they are not absolutely quiet.

However, I have added a thermaltake radiater into a one of the bays in my computer which makes a massive difference between the two they work amazingly, I do not find any problem with the pump.

I did put a resistor between the front panel and that there is a greater fan as I found it too noisy, and the difference between fully on and turned right down made very little difference may be 1° or 2° over the space of an hour therefore I would prefer the quiet.

So your making a custom case which can house over five 120mm fans and your going to use this to cool the cpu?

Also the reserator has a 140mm fan that cools the radiator, a 240 of any brand pretty much beats that.
