anyone tried the zalman Reserator 1? looks like a nice concept but how effective can it be with out a fan? http://www.zalmanusa.com/

im looking to dive into water cooling and this looks sweet but im not sure if the price/performance is effective enough compared to normal water cooling with a radiator.

please post any thoughts and or experiences with this system.

thanks in advance.

I have read the reviews and it seems that this is an adequate cooler. By adequate I mean it can sort of cool the processor at normal speeds. I wouldn't want to use the Reserator for an overclock because it just can't cool that well. The great features about the reserator is that it is nearly silent in its process. As with air cooling it sacrfices some of it's performance for silence. If your going to watercool, I assume your going to overclock and the Reserator doesn't seem to have what it takes.

yea i'd recommend getting a nice radiator (double heatercore) and quiet fans on a rheostat (silenX if you can afford it) instead. much much much mnore effective, and extremely quiet
