I am looking to purchase several of these. I have a system with 8 Hard Drives in it and need to do some major heat control. I want to bundle several ZM-2HC2 with some 92MM Vantec Stealth fans to remove the heat. Does anyone know of any reviews on the Zalman HD Heatpipes or real world expierence with them.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

what drives are we talking about, what kind of access are they getting?
do you have an average heavy access temp for them?
and what is the ambient and case temperature?

Maybe you should consider to invest in watercooling.
There's many good HD waterblock on the market.

it would be way more silent and better cooling capacity

I used a couple of them to cool down some hard drives in a silent PC I was running. I actually had one on a Fujitsu 15k drive for a while and it seemed to do a really good job, drive temps were checked with Motherboard Monitor. When used in conjunction with a fan, they act like a nice heatsink helping to get rid of heat.
