Got the GS1000 and love it, but have not done much with it.

Has anyone messed with it buy swapping out fans, adding fans, anything else?

This case is huge, I know lots can be done with it.
 
Can figure out how to upload an image when it is looking for a URL??

Help with that one.

Also, anyone else have this case and how are you utlizing the fans? Are you adding more fans? In particular at the bottom?
 
Hard doesn't host pictures so you have to find another place to host them before posting.

use a website like flickr to upload them to the internet. Then post them on the forums for us to view them.
 
I will take some of mine when I get home. I like this case, i said like not love. build quality is great but I want more room. I was happier airflow wise with my Xclio A380

I have a 120.2 rad in the top, I have 5 Noctua fans and run 2 2.5" SAS drives and 2 RaptorX's.

Very nice.

I have 3 Nocuta fans in there now. One on top, one exhaust and then one attached to my S1283. Temps are pretty good and of course freaking quite until the 4870x2 jumps in :D

I am looking at WC next and that is all new to me, but it looks like this case will have the real estate for it.

Only thing I am worried about is my HX620 if it will handle the WC stuff. No issues with what I have now and I have another raptor coming, but pretty lean besides that, so I hope adding the pump will not put it over the edge.
 
LibertySyclone - forgot to ask.

Your fans I assume with the WC unit are all exhaust flowing right? Nothing as intake?
 
In pic # 4 you can see the two bottom fans, they are the only intake, then the Rad fans and the back fan are exhaust.

You should be OK with that PSU, w/o my SAS and with another GTX280 I was only pulling mid-high 400 watts at the wall. (that was with 700MHZ on the 280's and 3.6Ghz on the Q6600)

I did have to "re-engineer" the top of the case, so that the Rad would fit on the top. I hope that you have a dremel :) I'll take some more pics tonite.

Almost forgot, I cut out all the metal screen in the way of fans and it dropped the noise considerably.

So the holes on the rear of the case for tubing is useless? I was hoping the the rad would fit on there when I take the liquid plunge.
 
Well I answered my own question now that I have rad in hand.....NO :(

I will have to get a radbox and put it on the backside of the case. Not a big deal, but would of liked it inside.

I did not pull the system apart yet, but it would hit the clips of the memory slots and cover about an inch of the top of the mobo.

If I wanted to cut the metal bracket between the bottom half of the case and the main part I could possibly rig it somehow vertical, but it would be could butt up against the butt of the 4870x2.

Oh well :p
