Zalman CNPS9xxx HS Fan replacement

Is there a way to take off the fan and replace it with another fan?

I thought about changing the fan to a non-LED fan with alittle more power.

Also my mobo cpu fan connector has 4 pins and zalman has 3.

yes, pretty sure it screws off from the back.

I think the fan will still plug into the 4 pin? Not sure, becuase I have my 9700 plugged into my fan controller.

Thing is, Is the fan on the zalmans are just the fan, Not the housing.

How would I go about taking another fan and replacing the one on the zalman.

here ya go... its on the 9500, but they are built exactly the same, the process works the same for the 9700, except you will need to use a 110 fan for the 9700.

Id rather do the mod wtih a 1600rpm s-flex fan... the stock zalman fans suck and are very loud. I may actually try this now mod.
