Zalman CNPS9700 NT question

ok well first of all im planing to purchase the zalman CNPS9700 NT for an upcoming build and im wondering if i should use the thermal paste provided or just get some arctic silver also is the LED modable to blue or purple like woudl it be easy to cut the green ones and solder on blue ones or no

buy some AS5

The stuff that comes with is like a liquid.. too thin. Also AS5 lowered my temps a lot better then the stuff that comes with it.

Im also selling my Zalman 9700 if your interested.. PM me..
 
thanks i was planing to purchase arctic silver the one that comes with the zalman looks cheap but do u know if the led is exposed so it can be easily cut off and changed
 
Why not try them both and see which one you like ? AS5 is not that expensive... try each of them for a week and see which you like.
 
yea im ganna purchase both but im not ganan try the one that comes with the zalman it does look 2 liquidy (if thats a word)

anyone know anything about the LED on the cooler
 
the one that came with my zalman was this zalmanw ater like crap.. temps were 5c higher then using AS5
