I just bought a Zalman CNPS9500A off ebay. Was listed as Manufacture refurbished. The price was good, seller had a 100% rating so I went ahead and bought it. Figured if I had any real problems I wouldn't be out much money if it didn't work. Only problem I have is it was missing the AMD clip. Checked the parts with the manual and I've got everything to work with Intel.

My question is, has anyone ever run into this problem and does anyone know of a good place just to get the clip? That's the only piece I need. I may very well be jumping the gun here, I have an email out to both the seller and Zalman, but being impatient I wanted to ask anyone else where they might get these kinds of accessories etc...

About a year ago or so I emailed Zalman about acquiring a replacement fan and AMD clip for one of their coolers using their RMA form on their site. It took them like a week to respond with an apology and to let me know that they shipped me a fan and clip. A few days later I got a replacement fan and clip in the mail. No charge! I was in no rush to use the cooler so it worked out just fine for me.

I'm not sure if their process has changed, but they might send one out to you too.

Lets hope it's that easy! Hopefully Zalman will be okay supporting their product even though I didn't buy it directly from them. It was the third product of theirs that I've bought to day though. Thanks for the response.

Zalman rocks. I got the original CNPS9500 when it first came out.. Pre AM2 sockets.. then they came out with new clips which weren't included back then. I called Zalman and they mailed me the clip in a yellow envelope. (First GREAT experience from them)

few years later, I bought a 9500 nvidia edition and after it got dirty, I removed the fan while cleaning over the sink. one of the screws dropped down the drain. I called up Zalman... guess what? They mailed me 2 new screws so I can remount my fan! (Second GREAT experience from them)

So no worries... You should be in good hand. I've had nothing but good experiences from them.

So far it seems I am. While I haven't heard from Zalman themselves after emailing them I have heard from the ebay seller which seems to be an outlet store for Zalman. I emailed them the day I made this thread and the next day they got in touch with me. I sent them a few pictures of what I had and what I needed and they apologized for the inconvenience and sent the clip I needed out yesterday.

If the clip gets to me and it's what I needed I've got no problems either.

I recently emailed Zalman twice about an AM2 clip for my CNPS7000 but heard back neither time...

Will have to try again.

I guess I was lucky.

I e-mail them on an AMD clip and they responded to me within 48hrs and it arrived within a few days.
