Its an awesome cooler. Silent on low setting, set still cools amazing. On high, its one of the strongest coolers in the market. Its well made. The fan plugs into my fan controller.

Can't speak for past Zalman models, but I really like my 9700.

Handles my overclocked system without any issues. (Idles at 39C and keeps it under 60C going full bore)

But it weirdly fits real easy in my case.

The 9500 series (the baby brother to the 9700) is amazing by itself. It has been one of the best air coolers on the market for many years.

That said, the 9700 (which cools even better) must be an awesome beast

I use the tuniq 120 tower but picked up the Zelman 9700nt last week but can not find any info on it other then the zelman site. Anyone use it ?

i really wanted the NT verison, but none were in stock anywhere when I needed ir so I got the LED one. I would imagine they both cool the same.

I have both in different systems, the 9500 is frackin whisper quite and keept my venice 3200 stable at 2.6. The 9700 is on a temp setup while I get some modding done on my Lian-Li case. The second pic is of my friends 9500NT on a 680i board.

I got my 6800 OCed to 3.6 and @ 30c with the tuniq.

wow, i can see a mighty big diff, in the size, thankz for the guys posting the pics, i just ordered the 9700,vf900,and a opty 165, so im gonna need some good cooling, i was looking at the nvidia 9500, but my system is all blue so it will prob look weird in my system man i wish they made a black with blue leds, thankz guys
