I am running a Zalman 9500 CPU wooler with AS5 on an E6400, and my temps at stock speed are idleing at 43-44 celsius. This seems way to hot. I removed and thoroughly cleaned the HSF and heat spreader today with alchohol, and reapplied the AS5 using the smallest possible dot in the middle. I don't know what else to do.
Anyone have a similar experience, especially with this cooler, and if so what did you do to fix?
I think I might just have to replace the HSF, but this makes me sad. The Zalman is supposed to be good.
