Does anyone know if there's any difference in the power phases between the ud3h and the ud5h. The specs don't indicate much aside from the caps, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about the differences, if any, between the two boards in this regard.

If the power is the same between the two the only thing drawing me to the UD5H over the UD3H is the presence of the on-board reset, clear-CMOS buttons, the LED display, and the voltage points. It's annoying that the Z87x had these buttons on it, but the Z97 UD3H does not.

I also find it annoying that the UD3H actually has more PCI-E 1x slots and fewer PCI slots than the UD5H, seems counter-intuitive. In actuality I don't need anything but my own PCI-E for my GPU, but it would be nice to have the options available (and I certainly don't need PCI slots).

As far as I know, Z97X-UD3H has 8 power phase and Z97X-UD5H has 12 power phase.
Check the differences of the PCI and PCIE slot as below:
Z97X-UD3H has PCI slot x1 and Z97X-UD5H has PCI slot x2.
Z97X-UD3H has PCIE X1 slot x3 and Z97X-UD5H has PCIE x1 slot x2.
Z97X-UD3H has PCIE X4 slot x1 and Z97X-UD5H has PCIE x4 slot x1.
Z97X-UD3H has PCIE X8 slot x1 and Z97X-UD5H has PCIE x8 slot x1.
Z97X-UD3H has PCIE X16 slot x1 and Z97X-UD5H has PCIE x16 slot x1.

Yeah, I did finally find that information. Thanks though. I went ahead and ordered a UD5H-BK and it, along with my 4790k should be here today.
