z77 release

So IB won't be released until april, but anyone think z77 might come out earlier? I know amd had am3+ out for quite a while before any am3+ processors came out. It seems like the mobo makers would actually like this as I'd imagine the z77 boards would last longer than the SB generation (first the chipset recall, then new fixed boards, now a whole new crop of pcie3.0"ready" boards) whereas it seems like as long as the z77 chips don't have any inherent problems, mobo makers could release them now and ride the wave for probably 15-16 months or so.

Any thoughts? Any intel boards ever come out a while before the processors?

The showed a bunch at CES (or somewhere recently) so the manufacturers are ready, but I doubt they'll release them before Ivy drops. Has Intel released a chipset on it's own recently? I can't recall any.
