I have heard quite a few people talking about their Z680's here, I have been constantly having this problem here, I got to know does anyone else's amp on the back of sub constantly rattle when listening to music? I cant seem to fix it for anything and it definitely has to be the amp and not the surrounding things.. It just doesn't make sense, was it loose connections out of the box? Did they do a poor job putting it together? I am really pissed at this I mean brand new speakers, can anyone help me ?

i feel your pain. my brand new z680s had died after a couple hours of casual listening.... loud screech/pop and the center channel was gone.
 
Sometimes when deep bass plays I can hear this metal rattle or banging sound. I thought there was like paper by the port or something but there wasn't, it's just the amp I guess making that rattle type sound. It's weird. Might be the same noise. Anyway there's no way to fix it. I just put my sub in the corner so it drowns out all other noises. It's really not that bad actually. Lol

I've had my z680's for over a year. I bought them on 10/21/03 (b-day present to myself heh). They've been fine since. Never had a problem.
 
There is always a way to fix anything. ;)

It is kinda odd cause if you have ever been inside one of those subs you would see why... they use enough glue in them to float a boat on
 
yeah, i dont think logitech likes screws. glue is the way to go for them. also, with the z680s i had, just for kicks i listened to them for a couple hours longer and it began to rattle like it was literally falling apart on me. cheap quality. also my logitech joystick broke for no reason. i wonder if there is a relation.
 
OK i came to save the day :) mine rattle too from teh back of the amp.. guess wut i did to solve it? simple.... u know the airhole on the side? flip the sub so that the airhole is facing UP... problem fixed!!!! post back with results!!!! :cool:
 
My Z-560's have been pumping for years. No rattling or anything . It's great. My first set gave out on me after a month. The sub went plhebobrooogo . Then I got another. It's sub went blarggg. This third one has lasted for a long time now though. I don't know if they made a diff revision to fix the problem or what but they work great now ;).
 
SO you guys think its like this in all of the sets of Z680's and not just mine? No way to fix it?
 
Logitech quality is baaaaaaaddd. They crazy glue everything together and then it falls apart or the amp blows or something stupid.
