I would like to purchase a z68 motherboard and utilize the caching feature provided by the chipset. This would comprise of a 64GB SSD drive and a 2TB internal HDD. I would like to utilize the caching feature of the z68 platform but my plan is to partition the internal HDD into a 500GB partition (primarily to store just Windows and apps) and a 1.5GB partition (Strictly for the installation of games).
Would the advantages of caching still be in effect if the internal HDD is partitioned? Also if the answer is yes, would the caching also still be in play for increasing the load times of the installed games in the secondary partition?
The products being purchased are
SSD drive
