I have a set of Logitech z640s and I'm going to hook them up to my new rig. For now I'm going to use the onboard sound on my MSI K8N Neo which is AC97. Anyways, do I simply match up the colors of the z640 cord to the mobo panel or is there more I need to do. I used to use the z640's on my laptop so I only had 3 of the speakers and the sub working.
 
if its supported u should work. Go to ur sound controls and look for something that says configure or test. this will test the speakers and set them up in the right array.
