Well, I had a P4c800 asus mother board and the sound was great! i loved it, but then it burned out or died for some reason or another. Now, I replaced it with a P4P800 deluxe, but the sound is totally messed up, first of all before i only had 3 ports for audio but now there is 6. then when it is plugged in( because it only uses 2 ports) it only plays like on one side forcfully, the other side is faint until I open up the software which is(Asus's program) then when i put on M3D option on the speakers bass goes up, and there is like a bathroom effect on the left side speakers. when its off they all project but barely any bass. So its like two extremes which is extremely irritating. Anyone know what I should do?

All kidding aside.... it sounds like you might have the front speakers plugged into the center/subwoofer port.

its nto according to teh software the light green one has the light green jack plugged in, which is front speaker out, and the blue one has the back jack plugged in which is the Speaker(UAJ)

I have the same mobo, P4P800 deluxe, ran It with onboard audio for a while, make sure u install the audio program from the installation CD otherwise i'll be a bit problematic, also flash mobo to newest BIOS, it helps. Sound was great problem is sound card built in was pretty asinine, It would always change the setting from 5.1 to 2.1 and gave me trouble when setting up speakers with the self detect. I recommend to check windows audio settings are set to 5.1 or what u use and that the sound card program run same setting. I would check the instruction manual because the color coding don't always match up to your speakers. I did the best thing ever bought a creative labs audigy 2 zs gamer and never looked back, disabled onboard audio, have been trouble free so far, better audio quality and uses less processor power specially when gaming. You can find a good deal for about as low as 60$ for a audigy 2 zs and $90 for an X-FI.

well there is a discrepancy between program and actual, the rear output from the speakers is not put into the rear output of the mobo, but when i try to test it with the speakers in the fornt and rear inputs on the mobo the back doesn't sound, and when i return it to blue and green jack i still cant hear the back speakers going off wtf.
Baiscially during the tests i cannot hear any sound coming out of the rear speakers.
Edit: it is a 4.1 configuration
