Z2300 and Audigy 2 Value problems

just bought a new system. I have the MSI Neo4 board, disabled the onboard sound. Installed the Audigy 2 Value OEM card and got everything running with the included installation disk.

The problem i am having is the card does not see my Logitech Z-2300
 system as a 2.1 system, but instead a 2.0 system. The controls for the subwoofer are greyed out. This means that when i turn up the "bass" in the creative control panel, it just ups the bass for both satellite speakers and sub. Which blows, it distorts the sound.

Any help anyone?
 
They are 2.0 speakers.
(there is no discreet subwoofer and the bass management is Incorporated into the speaker system)
Adjust the bass with the subwoofer volume control
