Has anyone else had problems with the jacks on the subwoofer going bad? My right rear is about dead. I just get a little sound and some popping and cracking out of it. I've only had the thing about a year and a half. I was just wondering if anyone else have seen these same issues.
 
Logitech speakers going tits up? Yes, it's a common problem. They're far from the world's most reliable computer speaker set.

That's what I've heard. At least I didn't pay a ton for them.

all the logitech speakers that i have owned and the people around me have owned have never died.

i'd say that they make some of the best products quality-wise and that you definately get your money's worth
 
You can definitely get a witness on the Z680 problems, but out of the Z640's I've seen, I haven't come across any.

At least they were covered under warranty. They were, weren't they?

I think I'll stay away from Logitech for the next set.

The amplifier modules that logitech likes using seem to be very unreliable, albeit relatively powerful for the cost.
 
yep, i just returned them to newegg, they even sent a fedex truck to pick them up free of charge. do what i did. get the PM ultra 5.1s and hook up a 10" sub to the SWS link and you're in business!!
 
does the sound blaster live value digital 1024 support 5.1 surround sound??

if not, i just bought the 640s and now im going to have to buy a new soundcard

if so, what could possibly be going on?
 
I've had my 640's for quite some time. They haven't been off very often since, and they play just as well as the day I got them. Hope it stays that way
 
My 680s are still going strong after almost a year, even through the big blackout last year in new york city. I <3 them. THe bass is killer.
 
i have even more killer base, the promedia ultra sub with an MTX 12" in the SWS link :)

Anyways, after my sub gave out, I kinda regretted getting the Z-680's. I was thinking about a set of Klipsh but the Z-680's at the time were so cheap and I couldn't resist. Anyways, I should be getting my new set in a few days hopefully and give Logitech another chance. Some good things about Logitech is they have excellent customer service (from my experience) and I really like their mouse and keyboards. :D
 
everything i have ever own from logitech has broken, thats why i dont trust them anymore. just a note i've never had a mouse or keyboard, i hear they are good, but joysticks and speakers...... broken...
