Since the Wii doesn't have an optical output, what's the best way to connect it to the Z-5500's? Simply looking for a way to have my HTPC and the Wii connect to my z-5500's nicely. Any ideas?

I use something like this:

Of course if you are already using the 3 mini-jacks for analog 5.1 from a HTPC that won't work. Then something like this would probably work:

Take the RCA to Mini-jack connector, plug in the stereo audio from Wii, then plug the mini jack into one of the female ports on the Y connector, then plug the front stereo from the HTPC into the other female port, and plug it into the front stereo on the Z-5500 pod.

The only other option would be probably a expensive analog to optical/digital coax box.

Also unless you are planning on switching to an AV receiver that can decode Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS MA, and get that new asus Xonar HDMI card, then using analog 5.1 for Blu-ray is the best option.

yup that out of do it,

thats what I use in my pc, but instead of females, I use males, and the sound is nice,
