Z-5500 - Constant crackling

I've been using my Z-5500 setup for more than a year now and recently I've noticed that all of my speakers were constantly giving off crackling noises whether or not I have any audio coming out.

I plugged in my headphones on the control pad and I still hear the crackling sound constantly as well.

I'm a bit concerned because the crackling sound has become very noticable. Last week I've had a lot of sudden power outages due to the storm in my area and I'm starting to worry if there's any damage to my speaker system as a result.

I don't know anything about audio systems. Can someone please give me some insight as to what might be the issue, and how I can fix it?

call logitec support. They have excellent service and will address your issue. They did the same for that speaker's predecessor.(z680's). DO NOT TELL THEM ABOUT THE POWER OUTAGES!!!! That will most likely void your warranty. Just tell them you've noticed a weird crackling noise and you're not sure why it started happening. Tell them when and get the code off of the white sticker on the receiver. Good luck!
