Kevin Donahue, YouTube’s VP of Content, made comments at CES about the possibility of the company creating a linear TV channel. Not many specifics were given but Donahue said the company is definitely “noodling on it”. Huh?

"We’re noodling on it," he said. "We haven't gone down a specific road yet. We’ve had a lot of conversations with networks that want us to do shows, companies that want us to do linear YouTube channels … We’re more in strategy phase right now."

Doesn't Youtube alredy have a channel ... IE spike TV? It seems like all spike TV shows is dashboard police cams, stupid stunts gone wrong, and crazy japanese game shows.
 
In 5 years it will show no user generated internet videos, sort of like with MTV, but much faster.
 
They could always buy that channel on directv (might be on other providors not sure) called Current. All they do is play stuff that viewers send in. Its suppose to be a channel for the people by the people or something like that.

A channel full of underage girls badly lip syncing even crappier songs is not entertainment? 31 episodes of 10 second clips titled "Britney's Boobays" that is nothing more than a 13 year old shirtless boy picking his nose isn't a good idea (viewed 4,338,921 times).
