Youtube like steaming video?

Is there a way I can set something up on my network so that when someone tries to open the vids I have on the HTTP, that they can buffer their vids and play them like youtube? Because my laptops on wireless don't always get a consistent connection, and if I could pause and buffer them to load up, that would be awesome.
 
How are they viewing these files originally? direct ftp access or local network access is buffering as well. Any Streaming type viewing will have buffering.

edit: I see what you're getting at. pause downloading is special to cetain video player enbeds. Find one that you like and use it.
