... that would equate to no lag during 100-man raid in EQ2.
Oh yeah, I picked nVidia because I ordered the BFG 6800 GT for $300 at BestBuy [deal dead]. Purely a buying decision based on Performance per Price.
512MB won't be needed for a long time.MeTaSpARKs said:That's a great price! Congratz on the bargain! Most people would say why get 512MB when games barely use 128MB. Well, I am assuming valve and id have a lot of surprises for us. Even SOE, with EQ2. So when all those three games are out, I'll buy whatever plays them all the best instead of losing money now to play one really good game.

IN MY OPINION the GT is better than the X800 Pro and last I checked this thread was asking for MY OPINION. Seeing how that is the price range I am looking at, I compared those two cards. In reality though, you most likely wouldn't be able to tell difference between the two.creedAMD said:Thanks for trying to start flaming in the thread, who in the hell was even talking about an x800pro vs gt? IF you are going to flame at least do it with fuel. The x800pro is on par and sometimes better than the 6800u. The GT has good overclocking ability, maybe.
So no, it's not simply. It may be with some overclocking on par with the x800pro, in some games.
Don't turn this into another ATI vs NVIDIA thread? You look at the poll?xXaNaXx said:oh man, please don't turn this into yet another ATI vs. nVidia thread....there's enough of those already.
xXaNaXx said:yeah, i did look at the poll....
it says "Your next video card will be:", not "Which is better, ATI or nVidia?"
and cheaper with the pre-order deal.obs said:GT is simply better than X800 Pro.
That's the topic, not the poll. Is it really hard to figure out that a poll asking you to choose between ATI or NVIDIA is a NVIDIA vs. ATI thread.xXaNaXx said:yeah, i did look at the poll....

I find it hard to believe someone could make a statement in this poll that is pro-company and not card, and NOT sound fanboyish. I'd like to see one.
