A pair of Zotac AMP! 980Tis, about a year ago, at $650/piece, if you consider them as a unit.
If not, my previous monitor, a Planar PX2611w 26" 16:10 1920x1200 IPS display, was $800. My current display, a Dell U3415W 34" 21:9 3440x1440 IPS, was around $700.

My Samsung 48JS9000. $1350 in January. I'm sure it's cheaper now.
In March, work paid for my current laptop. Max specs 13" rMBP. Cost about $1800. No way in hell I'd cough up that much $$ for laptop.

I paid $2200 for my 4K TV a year ago. I think it's like 1400 now.
