Whats your lowest CPU temp on Air?

I have the venice 3200+ stock with stock HS+F and dont know if i should get the XP-90 HS.
my idle is currently 27-29 Celcius and was wondering how much lower can i go? I know my temps are nothing to worry about but im a becoming addicted to lowest temps POSSIBLE! on air that is... whats your lowest on air?

My A64 3000+ Venice is at 24/26 with a Zalman CNPS7700-Cu and AS5. Its running at stock speeds for now and is in a case with 5 120mm fans. With the fans silenced I get 27/29. Keep in mind that room temperatue is a controlled 72 degrees which is obviously helping.

The lowest I've ever gotten was about 25*, but that was when my room was at 18* and I turned on my computer after a night off to see my temps.

Mine is idling at around 35* right, but I just stopped playing CS:S.

If you want lower temps, undervolt your cpu.

My setup idles around 27-29C, load only gets up to 38C.

3200+ Venice @ 2400 Mhz w/ XP-90

35-37c ( idle ) On my old xp-2800, I think my Dual P3 runs at room temp because of the 120mm fan blowing on both HeatSinks.

lol you dont wana know what my wc'd 1.55v prescott does in comparison to your air cooled a64's idling 45C is about as good as it gets(i usualy dont run the air conditioner so my rooms about 80F most of the time), pretty good for one 120mm fan and a 6800 ultra worth of heat output imo(fans getting upgraded soon mmmm two U1A goodness, waters getting too hot(cant imagine why :p )

on air cooling, my 3.2c at 1.70v ran at 65C load and i think somthing like ~45C idle on a xp-120 and panaflo M1A (those heat pipes got bitchin hot)

my 5950 ultra on my passive zm80d-hp got 30C idle if that counts

my athlon-xp on a slk-800 and enermax 80mm at 2.6 ghz and 1.7125v got about 35C idle

i dunno what my 450 mhz k6-2 does but it uses a nb sized heat sink and runs with no air flow oher then a ghetto 80mm thats 5v'd and it runs ice cold idle and load(still used today as web browsing pc for family)

funny part about prescott is phase changing it would SAVE power because i can get about 4.5 ghz with nearly stock v-core, and the cpu and mobo already has di-electric grease :p

lowest temperature i got was 20C during this past winter :D
i sorta cheated though, i had the backyard sliding door open during 6 in the morining :p

you might as well have a stock cpu tho

if i turn my ac on and let my room temp drop to 60F i get about 40C on the cpu and ~36C on the 6800 but i like it hot in my room, never had the luxury of having it hot in here without worry of the comp overheating til now :D

26C on my XP-M
stock volts? what fsb and clock speed, what a odd cpu series come to think of it, all 3 were huge on temps lol my temps are rather high on the athlon-xp because i had it pretty much silent.

I think I once got -2 idle on my 3.2 northwood at 3.75ghz... And I think its max load was 9 or 10 degrees... The Northbridge however idled at somewhere between 9 and 15 and I don't remember its load. Yes, my air conditioning works great. But only during winter... In Canada... During warm nights during winter in Canada, I dare not open my window on a cold night.

All stock cooling by the way.

My new system is 30 celsius at full load. It's in a basement which is cold. When oced it gets up to about 37 celsius. Coldest recorded is 26 celsius

I'm using a Lian Li PC75, which is a big case so airflow is not "very" good.
AMD Opteron 252 @ 2.6GHz, Thermalright XP90, Artic Silver 5, Panasonic Panaflo 92mm silent fan.
My 100% load temps average 36ºC. My case has all silent fans in it.
Keep in mind, this is during the summer with AC, winter should cool it off even more.

at stock speeds, my 3700+ idled at around 31-32 degrees...now overclocked, it idles at around 34-36 degrees and loads at 39-40 degrees...i cant wait for the winter though :p mucho cold computer ;)

Northwood P4 3.4ghz @3.8 1.675v and Geforce 6800 Ultra @ 470/1.195ghz. Water cooled with low CFM fans and poor case design.

System: 28*
CPU: 37*
PWM: 32*
GPU: 40*
Ambient: 32*

LOAD add on 5-8* each.

I dont trust motherboard read outs so i dont know. But the lower readout i have got has been like 31C on my rip in sig. (during the middle of winter 2 hehe)

Everyone here is talking about idle temps in the high 20's and low 30's. Im shocked when mine even reaches low 40's maybe 40 at idle. Mine is around 48-50 at load. Is that to be expected from an older athlon xp (stock) or is it just my heatsink. I have it on a coolermaster jet7 with as5.

I think XP's run a little hotter than 64's. Mine is a Venice core which I think is the coolest A 64 core to date, so no I wouldn't be too worried about yours. You may want to re-seat the HSF just for fun, it may help some. My CPU used to load around 52C with the stock cooler.

The lowest temps I've had, was when I had accidentally set my Athlon 64 to run at 400MHz (The multi was down at 2)

Although I don’t think that’s what your looking for :p

I just heard my Abit IC7 mobo reads temps 8-12* higher than actual and undervolt the CPU then reported in BIOS. Abit must be afraid of people burning up their computers. If that's true then knock off 8-12* from my temps and 1.7v core here I come!

my max3 has no droop in vcore; what is set in bios is what you actualy get, measured with multimeter, the current load of my prescott makes it droop a bit but no more then .02v iirc think of the ammount of power needed to produce enough heat to get the water cooling loop in my sig to 60-65C load(depending on if im just prime95ing or playing a game) ;)

what the max3 ACTUALY droops in is memory voltage but thats somthing typical of ic7s

I have the Max II. It does droop a little but I noticed the higher I go the closer it actually reads. For instance, 1.65v in BIOS reads around 1.63 CPU-Z. 1.7v reads 1.693v.

i mesured it at 1.7v and 1.65v and 1.55v thats prob why it was never more then +-0.02

On my P4 2.4C oc'd to 2.75ghz i get Idle 30c and my case is 28c on load i get around 37c but i do have my case open. my BFG 6800gt oc 58c core, and ambient temp is 37c

oh I got to post this

this is in F mind you

57F.bmp

thats a 2000+ oced to 1.8. I just brought my computer inside from my trunk where it was sitting in 5 degree winter.

my P4 3.2E was idling at 38ºC, now it's idling at 52ºC because of the increase in humidity that kills my evaporative cooler (humid air + humid air = no evaporation = no cooling)

yippee.

x850xtPE idles at 40 C load @ 55 C..yay

I'm got 3700+ with Aspire-X case, with Zalman 7000b-Cu LED fan for my cpu and the VF700-Alcu on my gpu...my idle is at 26'C and load is 34'C at the highest I've seen it. Splashed some Artic Silver 5 on'em.

about 26c idle and 42c load. Tt volcano silent on my cpu, 1x120 mm, 2x80mm basic air cooling on my Aspire x-cruiser case...

Intel 3.2E (Prescott) overclocked to 3.81 ghz, cooled with an XP-90 + Panaflo Ultra, 40s idle, 55 max load

i normally get like single digit celsius. usually idleing around 9* or so. and when i'm gaming pretty hard it gets up to like high teens.

but this all at stock speeds though and a zalman alcu7000

That's um... not really possible with air cooling unless your ambient is about 40F. Maybe your temp sensor is off?

I used to have my Athlon 64 Winchester idle around 26C (35C full load) using artic silver, stock heatsink, and 3 intake fans and 4 exhaust. Now with overclocking it to 2.4 Ghz from 1.8 GHz and adding .1 volt it idles at 31C with full load at 42C.

Intel 3.4 Prescott with Zalmon 7700cu

29 idle
33 full load

dead quiet and efficient

27C (80F) on my 1.8Ghz winchester, or 3000+ 90nm socket 939 while browsing the [H]ard forum...

I guess I cheated, I had the A/C on and its about 74F in here...

i dont mind 80F, i guess i got used to it being hot at work, outside, and my room
my mom was complaining about it being 78F in the house and it being real hot when i was comfortable :p im a freak in i like it either hot or cold i guess lol

my prescott doesnt mind my room being 80F either, im getting 46C idle(1.475v) right now and my 6800 gt@ 1.4v is getting 39C but its not air cooling, makes me wonder what the second fan will do on my double heater core for temps...

Athlon XP-M 2600+ @ 2.4Ghz 1.625V 24C Idle :D Thermalright AX7 with Arctic Cooler 3 (cheap 5 dollar fan lol)
