Your favorite video card

ti4200

It's not my first card, but it's the first price/performance card. I certainly got my moneys worth out of that one.

My Favorite cards:
3dfx Voodoo 3 PCI
3dfx Voodoo 5 AGP
nVidia GeForce 8800GT (the longest lasting card so far)

The least favorite cards:
nVidia GeForce DDR
nVidia GeForce 6800GT
nVidia GeForce 7800GT (in SLI)
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
ATI Radeon 1900XT

It's a toss up:

Creative Voodoo 1 4mb
Asus v6600 deluxe geforce 1 (the 1 that came with sgram + 3d stereoscopic glasses)
6800 vanilla unlocked 4 pipes

8800 GTX, Mine is finally goign to get sold off and I'll be moving to the GTX4XX series, but it was a blast for the 3 yrs I've had it, and it still runs the latest games :D

My favorite has to be the BFG 8800 GTX OC2 I bought when I built my C2Q system back in 2007. Then I grabbed another for some SLi goodness. They are still going strong to this very day in all of my games at 2560x1600!

First "memorable" card I owned was my ATI 9600 Pro 128MB; after that it was my X1800XT 512MB. I'm starting to think this 5850 will be the next "memorable" one.

Probably my x800GTO 128mb... not very impressive when you look at it but it was my first discrete GPU, and it ran FEAR at 1024x768 w/2xAA. Also went through any Source engine game at the time easily.

I ended up upgrading to an 8800GTS 320mb - I guess I got sick of being memory limited and moved to a 4890 when I built my new PC - just to go to the 5870 not too soon after.

eVGA 8800GT, never had a card that could max out games for so long after I purchased it.

My GeForce 256. I still have it, and I still like it lol. Made my days of unreal 1 and unreal tounry a blast. Not to mention original ghost recon. ^_^

This would be #2 for me, for UT alone. Good memories.

I am going to go with the ti4200 as well. It lasted me until 2007 (so I guess 4-5 yeas) though it was getting painful towards the end.

Seems like cards don't have the same longevity any more...

The 4 best cards I have owned, my X700 Pro was my first gaming video card.. then I went to the X1800XT it was awesome.. Then the 8800GTS 640MB when it came out.. and Right now the best card I have owned is my ATI 4870 1GB it runs all the games I play at highest settings.. I got into BF:BC2 and I must say it runs good on my 4870 I know there are some people bitching about the fps they get on that game but it will run fine with a good Core 2 Duo and a 4870 and that cost about $150 for the card now.. I might just get another 4870 rather then go with the 5850.. for games that will be coming out but for now I am good to go..
