Well, I just got my 1800FP today, and I hooked it up when I got home. My first impressions were pretty good. Very bright, very sharp, but one dead pixel :(. So, I fired up Counter-Strike, and to my surprise, there was some noticeable ghosting. People on this forum have praised this LCD when it comes to fast-paced games, such as Counter-Strike. My eyes are starting to hurt slightly though, perhaps because i'm used to my 19" viewsonic monster. Those of you with this monitor, what are your settings? Such as refresh rate, v-sync on/off, in order to minimize ghosting? I'd greatly appreciate some help.

im pretty sure to get rid of some eye hurt, lock ur monitor refresh rate and that should put less strain on your eyes, and possibly take away a bit of ghosting. I wouldnt know how to do that tho sicne i dont have an lcd yet

mine is on 60 hertz and i dont see any ghosting...maybe my eyes are slow though...i dunno...

How do I lock my monitor refresh rate? Right now I have it set at 75hz....excuse me if I sound like an ass, I just don't know much about LCD's.

I have dual 1800fps and found that leaving the refresh rate at 60 looks far better, and since LCD's don't really have a refresh rate the same way CRT's do changing it doesn't really matter (just from my experiance) As for locking the refresh rate, I know the newest nVidia drivers have that option, but looking in the 4.1 cats, I'm not seeing a built in refresh rate lock, but there should be programs you can run to fix that. Plus heres a great page for setting up cleartype in windows, it gives you more options than you can ever tweak in windows itself. I couldn't stand reading text on the 1800fps until I used this page. My 1801fp would go off and on when set to 60hz. I changed the refresh rate to 70hz and it is beautiful, and works wonderfully.
