Hey guys,

I need to know if my current psu is gonna handle this major upgrade I'm planning on soon....

here's the psu I have right now.... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817171001

It's not exactly a beast, but I'm hoping it gets the job done for my updgrade...

Here's what I want to get:

E4300
8800GTS
2 x 1gb kingston ddr2 667
DS3

alongside it will only be one 250gb wd hdd, two 120mm fans, the stock hsf for the e4300, dvd-rom, and a cd burner.

I plan on overclocking just the E4300 to hopefully 3.0ghz, but I certainly won't be sad if I get to 2.6-2.8.

Sorry for making an entire thread. I tried searching to avoid it, but I wanted a specific answer as most would on this forum. Thanks for the help!!!

One 8800GTS with your current stuff, no problem.

Two is where it gets a bit tricky. It *MAY* work, but I recommend a bigger power supply in case you want more drives, more lights, etc..

highly doubtful. I'm running a 6800GT right now and I'm content.......sort of :p.

8800GTS sli is certainly not planned for the future. another hard drive....perhaps, but i'll probably just get a bigger one later and use my 250 as my back up external disk instead of the 80 i use now.

Well that's awesome news for sure. I pieced together all that stuff on newegg, and it comes out to a few cents shy of 850 shipped :D:D:D

You'll be putting a stronger load on that PSU when your parts arrive and you may not like the noise difference. I'd throw an S12 or Corsair HX series into that rig in the near future.
