I was reading "Thinking in C++" and I figured even though he says you should have basic knowledge of C, I figured I can still manage. But in his examples he just starts slipping in parts without really explaining how they work, so I assume they're from C. And it's kind of hard learning when parts like this occur.
So I switch over to the "How to Think Like a Computer Scientist" series for C++ for a bit, and have read the first few chapters.
I took the elementary java courses in my college, so I already have basic programming knowledge/skills. So I'm kind of looking for a Java --> C++ (free)book.
Any recommendations before continuing to read HTTLACS ?
