ok im tired of my Cooler master hyper 212 plug cooler. to me it does an OK job but blah. Im looking for a good air or water cooler. Not Water setup.

I was thinking the Corsair H50 or a high end air cooler. I need to keep it around the same price as an H50 80 bucks. i think the true comes over that and has no fans. what are other options.

whatever i decide i need to buy it today. so please help
 
You can get the TRUE rev. C for $60 from petra's. Figure a decent fan for around $10 or so (much less if you are willing to use yate loons). So you could do a TRUE setup for around that $80 mark, as long as you don't need a bolt through kit or some other accessory.

Edit: my bad, you can get the TRUE for even cheaper from SVC. http://www.svc.com/u120e-bp-rev-c.html So yeah, $55 for TRUE rev C, $15 for a Scythe Gentle Typhoon (again, less if you are willing to go with a louder fan), $10 shipping, for a total of $80.

hmm ok ill check it out. also do i need to buy a Fan holder also or do i use the fan Clips?

i already have X2 yate loons 1600 RPM 33 DBA fans i plan on using for this. So no fans are needed. Just the cooler.

The two included fan clips should be fine... sort of. If I recall, some yate loons have a tube at each corner that would have to be dremeled off for the clips to work. It just depends on whether you have open or closed corners are your fans. Also, if you are going to do a push pull setup you will need to order a second set of clips. http://www.svc.com/fwc-120-u120.html
 
ill just order the fan holder i dont have a dremel and i dont feel like cutting anything i just want to direct install
 
oh by the way is there a chart that compares the True to my hyper 212? is it going to be a huge difference?
 
Just check your fans before you order the holder. I believe that some yates are fine, others are not.

If your yates are like the black one in my photo (notice that the circled area is solid with plastic whereas the clear antec tri cool above it is empty in that space., you would have to dremel off off some of the circled part. If not, then you would be fine with the clips.

I don't actually know what kind of temperature differences you will see, if any at all. Google probably has some info to share though.

yeah my yates are closed corners. the reason im getting a new Cooler is because the hyper 212 sucks. i broke the mounting nuts that came with the cooler. i barely screwed it down at all to the board so now id have to order new mounting hardware wich is cheap to begin with.

time for something else.
 
Sweet, I forgot to check jab tech. Their prices are generally excellent. I ordered a ton of fans from them a few weeks ago.
