Microids released a press release on...april 1st:

However as expected most people assumed it was an april fools joke, and it was, at least the part of the whole linking between console/pc and such.
However they weren't joking about Syberia 3 being in the works.
Various people who contacted them about it to ask about it being an april fools joke got similar replies as this (from thejust adventure forum):
So this week we should have some concrete info and an official annoucment on the game.
I for one can not wait. Syberia I and II are among my favorite adventure games of all time, it just struck a cord with me
If you are an adventure game fan and haven't played them, I highly suggest them.
