Check this A64 build out...

Anything that I am missing here? I am sure there is something that I dont have...note: this is under 3.4k not including monitor + speakers + keyboard/mouse :)
Gotta love UPS killing my computer and me actually getting enough money to buy a new one!

No Keyboard or Mouse, Monitor, speakers (I'm guessing you have these already).

If you are just wanting to spend all your money, then the system you have listed will do it. But If you want more bang for your buck, I would consider some different hardware. Such as...

1. Different Case ($300 for a case is kinda crazy in my opinion).
2. Do you need 2 Internal drives AND and external drive?
3. I do believe there are better, cheaper motherboards out there besides Gigabyte.
4. Video Card is kinda steep too ($599 for a 6800Ultra is a bit much).

Yeah dude, why on earth do you need 874 Gigs of storage? Are you going to backup your backups backup of AVI encoded video or what?

Yea, fortunately the insurance company has no power over these so I get to keep my stuff. Very happy about that since that woulda been an extra 1k easily :(

Good point. I just kinda fell in love with it after seeing it and reading the reviews.

I had been debating this for a very long while and I ended up saying YES. I had originally planned on going with 2x74gb raptors and 2x250gbSATA drives but instead decided that 1x74, 2x250 and 1x300external would be optimal. I am constantly on the move so having an external HDD would be amazing. Going along those lines to answer this:

You can never have too much space. Running large DB solutions as well as doing lots of high quality encoding takes up lots of space. Not to mention I HATE backing things up to DVD - I would rather have the option to do so rather the NEED to do so.

Yep, I am very sure about that; the problem is the Gigabyte is the only nForce3 board out at the moment for s939 :( I am debating waiting for nForce4 after seeing the features that will come along with it.

Yea, no way I will pay that much for a video card, I just wanted it in the wish list as its the card I want ;)

Thanks for the input :)

Definatly wait for PCIe to come out. If you do decide to wait for PCIe, also consider waiting for a FX-55. Nvidia isn't my choice of company, but if you do try to get one from BFG.

1) ditch the lian-li case, way too much money for a case.
2) look into a liteon or a nec dvdrw drive, they half the price.
3) is the external drive really necessary, if so you may be able to build one for cheaper.
