Yahtzee's Voice Changed? Zero Punctuation

In the latest ZP (Link), Yahtzee's voice sounds almost totally different. I know he's been using a headset mic for most (if not all) of the episodes, so I guess maybe he switched to a nicer condenser mic or something that picks up on the bass of his voice more.

Weird...
 
While I'm at work and can't get to that site, remember he records his reviews then uses a program to speed it up. He's not really talking that fast. He may have switched programs.
 
I did not know he uses a program to speed up the dialog...just thought he was an unusually fast talker.
 
As long as he keeps it sped up. I watched that "game review show" he and a couple others did. Listening to him talk at a normal pace is irritating to me for some reason.
 
Sounds like the review wasn't sped up to it's normal speed. Tempo is a little slower, but it still sounds like the same guy.
 
I don't know, it's not just pitch shifting.

When he did that extremely boring tour of Washington D.C, he still sounded normal, and he wouldn't have sped up his talking for that. The whole video was extremely slow and drawn-out.

This sounds like he had the flu and had his friend read his review instead.
 
Maybe it's something wrong with the video? My sound is totally messed up, the intro is missing a bunch of sound, and then once the intro is over I get NO sound?

My friend and I were talking about that at lunch today. And ya his voice sounded totally different.

Just checked it out, and it was some kind of weird bug? I loaded a different ZP video, worked fine, so I refreshed this page, and it worked fine?

After hearing it, it definitely sounds like a new mic to me.
 
He was also out of town for a week or two (as it was pointed out already) and maybe he recorded it in a way different than usual since he wasn't home. I hope it doesn't stay this way.
