A senior executive at Yahoo has apologized for misleading U.S. lawmakers about actions that may have led to the conviction of that Chinese journalist. Something tells me they aren’t as sorry as that guy sitting in jail in China.

The Journal reported that Michael Callahan, an executive vice president and general counsel of the Internet company, said he "deeply" regretted comments he made in two hearings in February 2006.

Actions speak louder than words. Don't tell me for a minute that Yahoo! didn't know what was going to happen as a result of their actions in these matters.

It's easy to express regret once an action is done. And crocodile tears aren't difficult to manufacture when you're a corporate exec.
