Ive had this 478pin C0 stepping prescott 2.8e for awhile. Its always done 33xx-34xxmhz at 1.5v recently because im planning on buying an athlon 64 ive throw caution to the wind and bumped it up to 1.55v this allows me 2500mhz stable with prim3 95 and temps never exceed 52c on an ABIT ic7-g(not sure how accurate the sensors are on this board)

anyway im not overly concerned about it lasting another 3years but I would like atleast another yr out of it as a backup server until i finish the main one (can you say watercooled opertons).

1)Does this board tend to over or under report temps?
2)Anyone have experiance running a 478pin prescott at this voltage for long periods of time?
3)Who wants me to goto 1.6v :p

Pressy's love volts (see my sig), but you need the right cooling. I wouldn't go 1.6 without at least water.

I have a Vapo and I'd go 1.7 if the bios would let me.

How long have you been running at 1.6v for?

cooling isnt a big concern my hyper 6 is doing a great job well i finish off my watercooling setup(slowly but surely)

Once the wcing is done(im hoping within the next two weeks time willing) itll be cooling this prescott till i buy my A64
