I just got a Cowon A2 yesterday, and I already encoded a few of my movies using AutoGK.
They encode fine with Xvid 1.1, but it really feels like I could be saving a lot more space.
Right now, I have Finding Nemo taking up about 1 GB of space at 480x272, and it looks pixelated (on the A2, it looks ok on my computer, still not DVD quality). If I encode at DVD resolution with the same quality, I'll get the same file size.
How can I decrease the size? I know I can do the obvious in AutoGK (use MP3 vs AC3, use 2-pass if I want a particular file size, etc.), but it feels a bit limited. Any changes I make to the Xvid encoder don't seem to work with AutoGK.
I registered at Doom9 BTW, but I can't post for 4 more days.
