if i cut the metal thing above the cpu area..

will a sonic tower fit in there in a jetway board..

what about a big typhoon, or a ninja..

Why dont you try it? It would fit, but you wouldnt be able to pull out the mobo tray with it on.

Im sure it will be a hassle to install/uninstall in such a cramped area. are you planning on cooling it passivley? there might not be room for fan(s?) around the heatsink.

i will either put the fan in the middle(inside the tower) ..

or i will put the rear fan out side the case,, and put the tower fan up there

I'll take a look this weekend to see if it will fit.

Sorry, bad things came up this weekend and I will have to see about doing it on Monday after work. Sorry about that.

no problem mann,, take your time..

by the way what about the arctic coolers,, the 64 and the smaller onea,, i think they should fit there..

My experience so far...

QPack + biostar TForce + Big Typhoon = NO GO/DOES NOT FIT

After cutting away the extra case bracing with a dremel and tin-snips, I have found that the BT does NOT fit.. :(
The reason is the Powersupply.. the Big Typhoon is too tall, and it's not just the fan cage on the BT, the fan itself goes too high, by like a 3/8" or more. Sux...

I've got a brand new unused Big Typhoon for sale now.. :)

The BT is 128mm tall AND has a 120mm fan. SO, my thoughts on what should fit, are the following:

If the top of the HSF is NO larger than 92mm square, you should be able to go just bout as tall as you want. As the smaller top shouldn't go over far enough to interfere with the PSU, and if you cut away the extra bracing, you've got basically the entire height of the case to work with.

If the top of the HSF is 120mm square (big ass fan like the BT) then 110mm Tall should be ok, but any taller and you hit the PSU.

So according to the Arctric Cooler site, that Ultra 64 or whatever, is only 77mm tall with fan and all, that's not much taller than a stock HSF I don't think, so there should be no issue fitting that in the QPack.

ok so do you think it will do better then the zalman7000LED every one is using,,,

or should i just go with the zalman,,

I personally don't know which is better, haven't read enough reviews about the Arctic cooler to comment right now.

Maybe someone else will chime in with an opinion?
