XPS Gen2 Memory Questions

Maybe you guys can help me. My buds just got his Gen2, but only got the 512MB of ram. He wants to up it to 2GB. But Kingston sells two sets.

Stick one is looking by ram specs. Stick two is looking up by the laptop model. Since there's $100 difference in price for the same thing, he needs to know if there's any real difference. He's tried calling, but got nowhere. Do you guys have any ideas? Or any other suggestions for ram upgrades on this system? Also, I have seen DDR2 in both 200 pin like this stuff, but most only carry 240 pin SODIMM, what the deal with that? We've tried calling the companys on these issues, but got nowhere, and I trust the people on this forum more than dell.
 
Personally, I'd go with the less expensive ones. If the specs match up to your laptop, you won't have a problem. It's almost like they charge more because it's specific for your laptop.

Plus, the more expensive stuff doesn't give any detailed info whatsoever.
