I just set up a RAID0 for fun and when I try to install XPPro, nothing happens. Windows see's my array and its all set up fine (I have a FastTrak S150 TX2plus card) but after Windows setup launches, it just sits there at the blue screen. I don't get a chance to opt to select some RAID drivers. Any ideas?

Thanks

I actually have a similam problem like this too. I want to install XP on my SATA drive, but either a. I get a blue screen or b. I first get an indictation that I have an "unknown drive", then I get the blue screen. But with Windows 9X, it detects it fine and works with it. Also, when I use an IDE drive to that already has XP on it, it does detect the SATA Drive. I just can't install and boot from that drive.

yea, this is starting to bug me. I've restarted my computer more in the last 12 hours than I have in the last 8 months. grrr...someone help us!

hmm, well i don't have enough xp experience to help much but i know on win2k before the main install starts, before you partition, at the very bigging right when the initial setup begins there's a spot to load the drivers by hitting F6. You NEED the raid drivers there if you're trying to install to the raid.

Try removing your raid config to check if that is the problem. also you may need to set up your raid config in bios somehow.

Well, I finally figured it out. defakto, the problem was that i never even got that far! To fix it for future reference, I took out every single pci card and other hardware, except the cd rom drives, and kb/mouse. I also changed the raid pci slot just in case. then it worked. Now I just have to transfer all my programs and what not.

Hope this helps you realyst
