Hello,
This is my first post here at [H]ard|OCP but one I feel is relivant to the discussions here in this forum category. I'm an avid forum memeber at SFFTech and as I can only manage to stay on top of one forum in my free time each day, I choose to mostly post there. However I have been lurking around [H]ardOCP for quite a long time and it is my hope that we can help each other.
Several of us at SFFTech decided that recording information about Shuttles in forum threads was no longer the most efficient means of cataloging the vast amount of information that exists. As such, yesterday we created a new wiki to serve as a reference guide for anything and everything there is to know about Shuttle systems and the frustration that they can cause. We did this in hopes that simple questions and easy fixes could be easily found. Hopefully then people new to the Shuttle world will not need to dig through 1000's of threads or post a new topic for the 100th time with the same old questions. It is my hope that those of you here at [H]ardOCP will also find this site useful and in return help us to grow through the contribution of your own knowledge. While I am more than happy to donate the server space and bandwidth as well as toss in everything I know about Shuttles, XPCWiki cannot be a successful tool without your help as well. An empty reference guide does no one any good. Everyone here is unique in that they have different models with different hardware setup in different configurations. It would be rare to find two Shuttle users who have had the exact same experiences and as such I ask you to contribute your time and record your experiences and knowledge.
Do you have an opinion about a Shuttle or Shuttle Inc.? Share it!
Do you have a special technique for modding? Share it!
Do you know a trick for getting systems to boot? Share it!
Do you have certain Shuttles you recommend for certain tasks? Share it!
If you have never used a wiki before, do not be intimidated. Contributing to a wiki is no more difficult that posting on a forum is, it is merely in a slightly different format. It should take you no more than 5 minutes to orient yourself. Even if you do screw up it can always be undone so don't worry, just have at it!
The possibilities here are really endless folks, I hope that you will contribute and help us make this site a stellar point of reference for everything Shuttle!
