I built a new PC recently with XP64, and the only hiccup I am running into is that I can't map drives because the Client for Microsoft Networks won't install. When I try to add it as a client I get this:

"Could not add the requested component. The error is: The remote procedure call failed."

This is a C2D box, Intel DP965LT motherboard. I have tried the latest motherboard INF drivers from Intel, as well as their latest NIC drivers. TCPIP works fine, and device manager shows no missing devices.

This is not a unique problem; poking around on Google I have found others had this issue as well. However no solid solutions have been given. The only one response I saw involved the NIC drivers possibly not being 64-bit, but I have no way to know if they truly are or not.

Anyone else run into this problem? Any solution?
