i need some help on my older system
i had a working p4 3ghz intel machine that was working fine.
i took it apart to give it its annual summer cleaning
i put it back together fine
my booting sequence now is very very slow
and it can;t log into windows
it goes to system boot and goes though the whole list or boot order and tells me to insert system disk
even going into bios is very slow
i tried using the windows repairs module via the xpcd i manage to find my installation and repair it but to no avail
i tried a new install but the same thing happen when i had to reboot. the system goes though the whole boot order and goes back to teh wincd and ask me to choose between repair and reinstall..

can someone tell me what is wrong?
is it the mobo or the hard disk?

ps can someone tell me how to enter windows xp via dos.. i can go into recovery console nad needs the instruction that allows me to go into windows
thanks
