XP won't boot after installing drivers

I'm working on a someone's PC, I installed a 9800 Pro. After I driverclean'd the old drivers, I installed the new ones, and the PC has to reboot. It does but after the POST the screen is just black. I can get into safe mode though. I uninstalled the drivers in safe mode and tried it again, same problem. Then I tried it over with older drivers and Omega drivers. Still same thing.

Any ideas on what the problem is?

boot in to safe mode and do a system restore.then just uninstall driver from add&remove normally.
