XP Will not display Wallpapers.

Ever since I visited gta.net and got some lovely malware on my computer, I have been unable to display wallpapers, just an image icon and placeholder (See above image) I have check settings everywhere. What could I be missing? This is very annoying!



 
I am pretty sure the spyware has altered your registry. Give superantispyware and malwarebytes a try.
 
Malwarebytes fixed what Avast, Ad-Aware, and Spybot couldn't find. But nothing has actually fixed the registry, if that is where the problem lies.

I can see my image during startup and shutdown. But after something loads, and I have no clue what process, it goes to the placeholder.
 
PROBLEM SOLVED: created a new user account, deleted the old one. Computer acts like it is a fast as a fresh install.
