XP themes without additional software?

Hey guys, I was just wondering what the best way to install XP themes without additional software was? I hate installing more apps than I need to, but would like a little theme love on my laptop.

Also, any good sites with good collections of themes? thanks in advance!

Your best bet. The installer replaces a .dll file in your Windows folder. Pretty much it allows third party visual styles to be used by the built in Windows theme manager.

Start at deviantart for a good selection of styles. I'm partial to Vistablack 7 myself.

I prefer doing the actual file swap in the recovery console, than using the patcher, but either way, it will work.
