Hey guys, been having a rough time with my Gforce Fx5700 and Mobo compatibility... I broke down and decided it was time to upgrade... bought the system, they hooked everything up in the store said everything was dandy.

I got home and installed the mobo into a case with a new 450w power supply, swapped in my old hard drive and tried to boot... everything looks good until it attempts to boot windows where it blue screens for 1/4 of a second and reboots... what have I done wrong?

Any settings needed to be changed on the HD?
Is it nessacary to use XP64Edition or will the 32bit OS still work?

did you try to swap systems while using the same os drive? if you do that, you'll have to reinstall windows and put some fresh drivers on there.

if you already have it working, congrats, it's nice to see people figure things out themselves ;)
