XP Pro takes a while to shut down

Hey all,

i just upgraded from a p4 3.2c to a dual core 3800+ and reloaded windows, but it takes about 3 minutes to shut down now. I have the exact same software installed as before and what not. any else see this issue or is it just me?

I've seen it on some installs. Some process is simply taking longer to close.

Try using this Lexun RegScrubXP 3.25 it's a freeware registry cleaner w/ tweak functions including speeding up the shut down process for XP in the (misc.) tab.

I seen a good defrag work wonders, especially on a new install. In fact, whenever I set up a machine, I usually defragment it several times during the process.
