XP Partition Help

I did a clean install of XP last night. I partitioned the HDD so Windows and apps will be on C: and data on D: I tried to move "My Documents" , "My Pictures" ,"My Music" to D:, but Windows told me they were system files and had to stay on C:
Is there a way to accomplish this? Or is there a work around ? I just want to be able to access these files from the start menu like before.
