I had a SATA segate 80gb drive and I replaced it with a segate 80gb IDE drive. I used norton ghost to do a disk to disk copy which should work though XP won't boot now. Im using the 80gb as my main and I have a maxtor 120gb as secondary. XP boots right up to the point before it goes to the desktop and then craps out, just hangs. No HD activity, just hangs. Any ideas?

**I just remembered I did have both 80gb drives hooked up when I rebooted so that I could format the SATA 80 but XP wouldn't let me because it was using one of them for paging.

did you get it to work?
i know that you can't take an HD with XP and stick it in another computer and have it work... because XP does that thing where it makes a unique id based on all your hardware.. so i wouldn't be surprised if it won't work if you ghost it onto a new drive...
