XP looking for floppy...

Hey all,

My WinXP 32 SP3 has been irking me a bit lately. After it boots and it starts loading the desktop and NOD32, it tries to access the floppy drive. I can hear the floppy head move once or twice, and then it goes off.

Any clue what XP might be searching the floppy for? I thought it might be the anti-virus but I disabled real time protection for removable media and I still get this.

i remember seeing this kind of behavior with nod32 before, not in my PC though, normally it shouldn't work like this. I didn't remember what it was causing it, perhaps some spyware i dunno, but what i remember was a clean reinstall of winXP fixed it
 
I'm not insisting too much on it as I'm going to be reinstalling pretty soon anyways (for other reasons) :)
 
If you kill the explorer.exe process and start it again, does it then do it?
 
It just does it for 1-2 seconds when XP starts and then stops and never does it again. It's not like I have to do something for it stop.
 
whats running in your msconfig?

Also in advanced options from the system, is there anything clicked seek floppy on bootup (trying to remember where its at since i'm using Windows 7 these days, can't believe i'm already forgetting XP)
