To get the hardware aspects of what is going on, please see here: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1064189
The software side is, whenever I try something large (such as play Halo or play some music) the machine goes balistic and slows to a crawl. Whenever such a program is loaded, the System Idle Process shoots to 100% and stays there even when the program is closed. It feels like it isn't loading anything to the RAM and it uses the HD all the time. According to task manager, I have 735 MB of RAM available.
SIgh...any ideas?
